Brick Retaining Wall, Alton

An old, unstable brick wall showing signs of movement, blown brickwork, and structural deterioration was carefully demolished and fully rebuilt to provide a safe and long-lasting replacement. The new wall was constructed with integrated drainage weep holes to improve water management and reduce pressure build-up behind the structure.

Bricks were carefully selected to closely match the existing property, helping the finished wall blend naturally with the surrounding architecture. Existing paving slabs above the wall were also lifted and relaid to restore a clean, level, and secure finish to the area.
