DIY Garden Build Tools



Building a garden involves various tasks, from hard landscaping to assembling furniture and structures. We need a range of tools to assist us with these tasks. Depending on your project, you'll need a variety of tools.


Here's a list of essential DIY garden build tools that we reccomend:


1. Measuring and Marking Tools

  • Tape Measure 5m: Helps with layout and measurements for planting or building.

  • Tape Measure 30m: We reccomend a larger tape for measuring your garden and setting out your plan with marking paint.

  • Level: Ensures that patios are falling correctly.

  • Garden Line/Marking Paint: For marking pathways, patios and garden beds.

2. Protective Gear

  • Gloves: Protect your hands from sharp objects and dirt.

  • Knee Pads: For comfort when kneeling or working close to the ground.

  • Work Boots: To protect your feet from sharp objects or rough terrain.

  • Safety Glasses: When using power tools or cutting materials.

3. Hand Tools

  • Shovel: For moving aggregates/soils and mixing cement.

  • Spade: Good for digging holes and moving materials.

  • Landscape Rake: Used for leveling aggregates & soil.

  • Hand Saw: For cutting posts or other wooden materials.

  • Cordless Drill & impact: Useful for assembling garden structures and hanging fixtures.

  • Electric Tiller:

  • Power Saw: Ideal for cutting wood for raised beds, garden boxes, or other garden furniture.

5. Hire Tools

  • Mixer: A concrete mixer can help speed up the process when installing patios that require a large amount of mortar mix.

  • Wacker Plate: When laying gravel, paving stones, or creating a solid base for garden paths, a vibrating plate compactor ensures the surface is level and compact.

  • Disc Cutter: Great for cutting larger tiles.

5. Other Notable Tools

  • Hose pipe/water source: A water source is nessacary for the mixtures of materials and washing down surfaces.
